Privacy Policy

• Resume or CV content (text, work history, education, skills) uploaded or pasted into the Platform
• Career goals, preferences, and questionnaire responses submitted during analysis
• Age, hobbies, and extra skills or certifications you choose to share
• Feedback or messages submitted through our feedback form (powered by Formspree)
• Email address and account credentials (when user accounts are introduced in a future version)

We do not currently require a login or account to use CareerGPS. No name or email address is collected during a standard analysis session.

• Usage data such as pages visited, features used, and time spent on the Platform
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• IP address and approximate geographic location (country or region level)
• Performance and error logs used to maintain Platform reliability

• Generate AI-powered career analyses, skill gap assessments, and career roadmaps based on your resume and stated goals
• Improve the accuracy, relevance, and quality of our AI outputs over time using aggregated, anonymized data
• Respond to feedback and support requests
• Monitor Platform performance, diagnose technical issues, and ensure reliability
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes beyond our own Platform communications.

CareerGPS uses the Groq API (operated by Groq, Inc.) to process resume content and generate AI career analyses. When you upload a resume or submit career information, that content is transmitted to Groq's servers for processing.

What Groq does with your data:

• By default, Groq does not retain inference inputs (your resume content) after processing is complete
• Groq may temporarily log inputs only in limited circumstances such as troubleshooting platform errors or investigating abuse, with logs retained for up to 30 days
• Groq is contractually prohibited from using your data to train or fine-tune AI models without explicit permission
• Groq processes data in the United States and potentially other jurisdictions

Your option: If you have concerns about AI data processing, you may use the Platform with a modified or anonymized version of your resume rather than your real document.

• Platform data is stored in a cloud-hosted PostgreSQL database (Neon) located in the United States, encrypted in transit via TLS/SSL
• We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse
• No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security
• We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide the service, or as required by law
• You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal information from our systems
• Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances
• Portability — request a machine-readable copy of your data where technically feasible
