01About CareerGPS

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CareerGPS, an AI-powered career intelligence platform operated by Vaelta (“Vaelta,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using CareerGPS at careergps-n9oz.vercel.app (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

02No professional career advice

CareerGPS provides AI-generated career information for informational and educational purposes only.

The Platform does not provide licensed career counseling, employment advice, legal advice, financial advice, or any other form of professional advisory service. AI-generated outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions.

Career outcomes depend on many factors outside the Platform's knowledge or control. Vaelta makes no representations or warranties that following any AI-generated roadmap or recommendation will result in employment, career advancement, salary increase, or any other specific outcome.

You should independently verify all career information and consult qualified professionals before making significant career decisions.

03Intellectual property — our platform

The CareerGPS Platform, including its software, AI systems, prompt architecture, scoring models, user interface, brand names (“CareerGPS,” “Vaelta,” “Atlas AI Suite”), and all related content, are the exclusive property of Vaelta and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works of the Platform or its underlying systems without our express written permission.

04Intellectual property — your content

You retain ownership of the resume content and personal information you submit to the Platform. By submitting content, you grant Vaelta a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process and use that content solely for the purpose of providing the Platform's services to you.

Career analyses, roadmaps, skill gap reports, and other AI-generated outputs are generated by Vaelta's AI systems. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use these outputs for your own individual career development purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit AI-generated outputs without Vaelta's written consent.

Vaelta retains the right to use aggregated, anonymized, and de-identified output data to improve the Platform's AI models and services.

05Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform using automated tools
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or test the Platform's AI systems or security
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure or other users' access
  • Circumvent any usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Resell or commercially exploit the Platform or its outputs without written authorization from Vaelta

06Privacy

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using CareerGPS, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy, including the transmission of resume content to third-party AI processing services (Groq API) as necessary to generate your career analysis.

07Data usage for platform improvement

By using CareerGPS, you grant Vaelta permission to use anonymized and aggregated versions of your usage data, career preferences, and AI interaction patterns to improve the Platform's AI models, accuracy, and features. This data will never be shared in a form that personally identifies you.

08Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. VAELTA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) AI-generated outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation; or (c) the Platform will meet your requirements or expectations.

09Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VAELTA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST CAREER OPPORTUNITIES, OR ANY OTHER LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS.

VAELTA'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO VAELTA IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $10 USD FOR FREE-TIER USERS.

10Account suspension and termination

Vaelta reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms, suspected abuse, or at our sole discretion for operational reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

11Input accuracy

The quality and relevance of AI-generated career analyses depend on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. Submitting incomplete, fabricated, or low-quality inputs may result in inaccurate or unhelpful outputs. Vaelta is not responsible for poor results arising from poor-quality inputs.

12Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this document when changes are made. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Your continued use of CareerGPS after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Florida.
